Follow your heart. Follow the fence.
Rabbit Proof Fence is based on the true story of three Aboriginal girls, who are taken from their family to be trained as domestic servants. The girls, Molly, Gracie and Daisy, decide to run away and walk the 2,400 kilometres home. This film follows their journey, a testament to the girls’ courage and determination.
Rabbit Proof Fence, the winner of 18 major awards, is a rare film of universal appeal, with its themes of family, hope, courage and survival. It also provides the opportunity for students to gain an insight into Australian history that is rarely covered in textbooks.
